Air Force’s Mi-17 makes emergency landing in Sikkim due to bad weather

An Mi-17 medium-lift transport helicopter of the Indian Air Pressure made an emergency touchdown close to Mukutang in Sikkim immediately on account of dangerous climate, officers mentioned. All 4 aircrew of the Indian Air Pressure and two Indian Military personnel on board the chopper are reported to be secure, they mentioned.

The helicopter was on a routine air upkeep sortie from Chaten to Mukutang and it sustained injury within the incident, the officers mentioned. “An investigation has been ordered to establish the reason for the accident,” an IAF spokesperson mentioned
